Jason Wu.

I've been so busy at work gearing up for Fashion Week (from a behind-the-brand perspective) that I always forget to check in with my old favourite past-time for journalist WW days - devouring photo after review after photo from all shows. And in the blink of an eye, New York Fashion Week started and there have been two stand-out shows for me already.

Firstly, Jason Wu - my crush since Mrs Obama saw fit to wear one of his beautiful evening creations to one of the inaugural balls. In true spring form he chose the most gorgeous silk fabrics (you could feel the breeze in your skirt) and a gorgeous palette of colours. Look #1 for me was this one - a blue, multi-layered skirt and lime sleeveless shirt belted in tightly and with matching (and slightly fetish-like) shoes for a soft/hard contrast.

Peter Som had the same idea with lightweight, breezy yet sexy skirts, yet his were teamed with sheer wafer-thin tops, true to his self-prescribed aesthetic of "effortless elegance and refined sexiness." Yum-ohhh.
